Going from T-5 to 700R4
Going from T-5 to 700R4
I am swapping my V-6 5 speed for a 305-700R4 combo and I have a couple of questions. What pieces will I need to get my Speedo to work. (if that is what actually connects to the speedo) Also, what else will I need be sides a Torque converter, Driveshaft and x-member? What components will I need for everything above the tranny, by that I mean shifter etc....
Thanks,
Chris

Under the car you need a flexplate, torque converter, transmission, tranny mount and imspection cover. Not sure if you can use the same crossmember, but you can use the same driveshaft. Inside the car you'll need some sheetmetal to cover up the hole for the manual shifter and the hole for the clutch in the firewall, the grommet for the shift cable, shifter, wiring for the neutral safety switch, shift cable, shifter plate and bulb holder for the shifter plate if you want it illuminated. You'll also need wiring for the TCC, for you the Painless Wiring kit is probably best since it includes everything you'll need.
