83 700r4

I had a 83 z28 camaro with over drive auto. When it shifted into second at wide open thorttle it would chirp the back tires. Now I have a 85 T/A and this one wont do it. What was in the transmission of my 83 that caused it shift like that? I was told there was no shift kit in it either.

Well, are you sure this 85 is the problem? Maybe the 83 didn't have any tread? or maybe the engine was slightly more modified? There are so many different variables to contend with.

How many miles are on this 85 car?
How many on the other car?
Which motors were/are in each?

the Camaro has 93000 on it and the trans am has 63000 miles on it. They both have the regular 305, with carburators
