Track Results with Convertor!

Well I got the convertor in--2800 Vigilante.
I pulled a 1.79 60 ft with alot of 1.80's too!
My best before with the stock one was 1.95.
Although I didn't better my 1/4 mile time I did get a 13.96 @ 95 mph. I blame this on a 25 mph head wind. It should also be better when I get the new intake and runners on.
As a side note to let you know there is more in it with better conditions I was beating a 99 SS Camaro (14.42) and a 96 T/A Ram Air (14.42). If these cars were running that slow I know mine had more in it too!

Sweet. I've got a 2400 12" convertor, and can't seem to get past a 1.84 60 foot. did you have a convertor in the car that you can compare it too? I hope you are running a tranny convertor, a friend killed his 700R4 this weekend and he is running a 3000 stall vigilante. His fluid was dark brown and burnt smelling. I think his best 60 foot with 3.70 gears was 1.74.

I need to get one bad.

All I can compare it to is the stock one and it is like launching a different car.
And yes I put in a trans cooler too!

Went from 1.96 something 60' times to 1.88 60' times with a lot of wheel spin now... 3.42 gears

That was from buying a 9.5" 2800 stall Vigilante..

Just added a new floor pan, subframes, LCA, LCA reloc. brack., and pan hard rod... Hopefully I will have results in a week or so....

Sportsman II 72 CC heads, Pete Jackson gear drive, Performance Resources chip, Edelbrock 1 5/8" headers and Edelbrock cat back exhaust, hi-flow cats, Trans-go stage 3 shift kit, Vigilante 9.5" 2800 stall convertor, SLP cold air induction, SLP roller camshaft, 24lb ADS injectors, AFPR, 3.45 rear end gears, and other goodies...

I have only ran at US 41 in Indiana and Rte 66 in Joliet, Illinois.

I have yet to run here in Michigan. Too bad most of my racing buddies are in Chicago.....
