700R4 = 135 lbs dry (depends on case)
the 4X4 case is slightly heavier.

the stock torque converter is approx 45 lbs drained.

What about the T56?
And I would like to know the total weight of the 700r4 complete with fluid and all.
I want to know how much wieght is saved with a manual vs auto

I've never had a T56 on the scales but I don't think it saves any weight.

Sorry to bring up an old topic but I did a search for the T-56 weight and someone said it is 125-133 lbs. Is the 700R4 going to be about 170 lbs complete or is it more than that? I'm hoping to make my car lighter with the swap too.

I am not sure on the t56 but, on the t-5 some one got the weight of every thing (fly wheel, pressure plate, pedals so on) and compared it to the 700-r4 and they came out very close to the same weight.

T56 is 122 lbs empty.

I'm not sure I buy that the torque converter is 45 lbs empty.
