The wider band from Alto is ok. I would install the 8 clutch 3-4 pack using Borg Warner Hi-Energy clutches & Kolene steels. You could install the Turbulator (low drag) steels in the reverse input & low/reverse clutch packs, the larger .500 main boost valve, .296 intermediate/reverse boost valve, Viton input/output shaft seal (guarantees oil to the rear planet), Teflon bushings in the front pump/reverse input drum/extension housing, Trans-Go no yo-yo steel rings in the front pump, the latest sunshell from GM (if you got some pretty good HP) and finally the Trans-Go Performance Shift kit. The kit contains new springs for the input drum, install all of them. This will keep the 3-4 clutches from getting into trouble past 5,000 rpm. If you have a lot of miles be sure to replace the input sprag & low/reverse sprag. If installed correctly you will have a fairly bullet proof unit. You can pick and choose what will work for you, but this is most of the stuff that I would use. There are other things that I do, but way too much to mention here. Hope This Helps!!!
