What Rear Should I Get?

I just want something that isn't too expensive w/ some gears like 3:42 or 3:73.
How much should I expect to pay and where should I get it from. I was hoping to spend around $500.

3.73 gears(190 bucks) powertrax locker(310 bucks), all the bearings (110 bucks). You can go without some type of posi/locker, but with deeper gears your traction will suffer. Above is my combination and it's worked well for me for quite a few years(4+). However, you can do alot of different ways. Such as getting some used gears and/or posi from a wrecked thrid-gen or S10/S15 pickup.
This is one of the best mods I did to my 82. It completely changed its attitude.
