Speedo Questions

Im not too sure where to post this so i figured this would make the most sense to post it here. I have an 84 z28 that i converted over to a 350 and instead of keeping the 700 r4 i replace it with a t5 transmission. does anyone know how to get the speedo hooked back up or wut i need to do. and also how about the neutral safety switch from what i have read all it is are to wires underneath the dash that i need to splice out with the ones that went to the automatic. a yellow and purple wire? some help would be much appreciated. thanks alot
aj

Re: Speedo Questions

You have a cable-driven speedo, right? You need a vehicle speed sensor (VSS) from a cable driven T5 transmission. The one from the 700R4 will not fit in the T5.

Did you read the tech article on swapping from an automatic to a stick shift?
