Spedo gear question on a T5 with 3.42 rear
Spedo gear question on a T5 with 3.42 rear
swapped in a different T5 on the TA !
problem the speedometer is over by 14 mph
or 22 km the differential ratio in 3.42
I have my original diff (just rebuilt)
3.73 posi.
if i swap in the 3.73 will it correct my
speedometer??? If not what gear(S) do i need!

Transmission: Tremec T56
Axle/Gears: 12-Bolt 3.73
3.42 gears for a T5 take a 7 tooth drive gear and a 19 tooth driven gear. The problem is to change the drive gear you have to remove the trans...
The 7 tooth is blue and the 19 tooth is white. The other choice for a drive gear is a 9 tooth, and its red.

The 7 tooth is blue and the 19 tooth is white. The other choice for a drive gear is a 9 tooth, and its red.
