I was told by a counter person at a local Performance dealer that you could order a rebuild kit from Powertrax that includes new clutches that will work on the factory Posi unit. Has anyone else heard of this or done this?

The powertrax doesn't use clutches. It has teeth that lock and unlock(sometimes called a dog-tooth clutch. Powertrax shows a set-up that replaces the guts of a posi 9 bolt, but they don't list a part number. The rest of the Powertrax units only fit open carriers. If you want more info on the powertrax, do some searches on thirdgen.org, ask if you can't find what you want, send me an email, or check out powertrax.com.
The powertrax is a sweet set-up.
