I bought a 700-R4 trans and a shifter (B&M Megashifter), transmission oil cooler, and new tourqe converter. What should I expect to pay for those items to be installed and my old tranny removed? How many hours is the job?

Can't say for sure, so I'm just gonna give you my opinion. I saved myself about $400 by removing and replacing my tranny myself when I had the rebuild done on it last year. Adding a cooler isn't too labor-intensive, not sure about the shifter, since mine is stock. The money I saved might be on the high side, but I would guess for you to have the whole job done will run you about $400-$500 and a days work, if the technician stays on it...

How difficult is it to remove and install a transmission? I'm only 16, but I have a pretty good mechanical apptitude and my dad could help some. We've probably got most of the tools, but I need a tranny jack right? You think it's something I can handle? Could you give me a run down of what I'd have to do?
