My car is an 88 Camaro with a WC T-5. The problem is that with the clutch engaged in neutral or any gear the clutch will make a chirping sound. This is with a Centerforce dual friction clutch and their TO bearing. I recently replaced the transmission with a rebuilt one and hoped to stop the sound with a new TO bearing. No luck same sound. All that is needed to stop the sound is to rest my foot on the clutch pedal, not even depress it, just slight presure. Also the clutch fork and pivot look fine, and the hydralics work perfectly, just the annoying sound.

are you sure the TO bearing isn't on backwards. I did my Nissan in a real big and fast hurry, and got my TO bearing on backwards.. EXACT same thing you're describing.. now if only I could come up with a logical explaination for the crap my car is doing.

I am reasonably sure that the bearing is installed correctly.

that's about the only thing I can think of it being. Not sure what else would make the noise constantly.
