drum to disc swap and a gear change ?'s

getting my car back tomorrow with the new rear in it. It will have disc brakes and posi 3.42's. Will I notice better stoping power? I currently have 2.77's and one wheel will I notice a difference from the gear change?

Which disks did you put in it?

If they're the 88-back ones, probably not; they will probably be worse than your drums, or at least they will be after a while. If they're the 89-up with the aluminum PBR calipers, they'll be a whole lot better.

worse than my drums? Why is that? It is from an 86 IROC. Is there a way to put the new ones on the old style? Can the rotors and the calipers just be swapped?

You'll definately notice a difference going from 2.77 to 3.42!
