The good fNord 9in how much is it worth?

I have a good fNord 9in rear, It's out of a Thunder turd ?68? The car had the 4v 429.
Its the good one bc chevy car rims fit on it.
It is a posi but Ive never taken it apart for the ratio. My dad gave me it when i was going to build a drag car but I never used it. How much is something like this worth? Ive heard quotes of 1000$+.

It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. It's worth more to a collector than to a performance entheusiest. I've seen 9" rear ends in 460 Cougars that only have 2.73 gears and 28 spline axles.

If Chev rims fit on your ford axles then either someone has redrilled the ford axles or you have the wrong rims. Chev and ford never had the same bolt pattern rims.

The only thing that might be worth something is if the center section is nodular iron. It will have a big N cast in it. Those are worth a few bucks but not $1000.

Plus is the width the same? What are you going to do about the torque arm? Will the driveshaft need a different yoke?

The most 'collector' rear IMO is the late style Dana 60. You could get a pretty penny for one of those.

The rims from a chevy car fit , not perfectly theres a 2cm gap, the chevy rims ride the very center of the rim leaving a gap 2cm on the outside bolt hole. the exact reason I never used this reas is because I dident want to tub my camaro and run backspaced wheels, Too much work cause the camaro was my driver at the time and sweaping slicks to radials sucks.
Well thanks guys, I'll pput in in the paper for 500$ OBO and see what goes.
