No seriously the WC T5 wasn't put behind the 350 on standard production model because it was weak so let alone a V6 trans. Rear axle and drive shaft will be good but that trans will have to be replaced with a beefier unit like T56 or TKO or you could go off the walls and use the M-22.

Did the v6's and v8's both use the WC t-5? The v6 has lower gears, right?

It can be done, but don't. Your driveshaft and rear axle are a bit stronger, and should be fine up to maybe 350 rwhp.
