Trans noise after spohn torque arm install

So I just put in a spohn torque arm/crossmember, and now I got a whirring sound coming from the back of the motor where the trans bolts up. When driving, after it shifts into 2nd, it gives off a low pitched whining sound. When removing the old torque arm mount I did lower the trans some to try to get it out, but ended up having to cut the one bolt that didn't have enough travel to slide out (if you've done this, you know the one I'm talking about). Did I screw up the torque converter or something when I lowered it, or did I just not get the crossmember completely centered and it's out of adjustment? This trans only has like 18k on it, I don't wanna replace it this soon.

Did you get the adjustable TQ-arm? What pinion angle are you running?

There should be no "centering" of the Xmem.

If you unbolted and tilted the motor without unbolting the TQ-conv from the flexplate, it's possible you bent the input of the transmission.

Yeah it's adjustable. I bought it used, didn't get the pinion angle finder with it, so I'm not sure what the angle is. I'll have to ask the guy I got it from if he has it. It still shifts smooth and everything. I feel like if I bent the input I would hear some sort of rhythmic tapping or banging. It's almost like a humming sound.

Get an angle finder and check the pinion angle, it sounds like it may be your issue. Just don't discount the input damage, the trans is not designed to tilt like that.
