ahhhh helll... ;(

700R4, It wont **** out of 1st no matter how High I rev it, and If I let off and get it to shift to second, It will just freewheel when it gets there. sometimes when its freewheelin in second It will Slam into gear, and then out again.

Reverse works fine. first works fine no slippage there.

I dunno about 3rd, Cant seem to get there.

Help! I don't need tranny problems dammit@

Can't do much over the Internet until the RFC for STRP (Simple Transmission Repair Protocol) is approved by committee.

Better take it to a shop if you're in a hurry, RFCs take a while.

Before pulling the trans out take a look at the governor gear, the governor is located under the round cover on the drivers side, it's probably stripped.

Why?
because they get brittle when they age, they are a pain to change and sometimes are not replaced during a rebuild.
In rare cases there might be rust build up from condensation on the tailshaft gear that drives the governor.

Back when I had a camaro I bought from some old lady, it came with a reciept for a rebuilt 700R4 and the trans looked clean but 4 months down the road it stopped shifting, it was the gear, cost like $5. It's a pain in the *** both getting it back in the car and getting the new gear on right.
Glad to help you, good luck.
