firming up 1-2 shift

I have a 92 c1500 w/5.7 and a 4l60 I want to firm up the 1-2 shift without going in to the valve body? I have a vett servo,.475 boost valve and a green pressure spring. Can the accum. spring be replaced to do this? I want to even out the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts.
Thanks

Have already installed these parts? If not try it first, then see if you still will need help. If you have, and you are looking for a firmer 1-2 WOT shift, then remove the 1-2 aluminum accumulator that is held on with 3 bolts in the rear next to the valve body. First make sure the spring is not broke or the piston bore is not scored. Next remove the piston, install fender washers in the bottom of the bore (one at a time)till the spring sits out of the bore about 1/8". It should take 3-4 washers to achieve this. This will give you firmer 1-2 WOT shifts without going into the valve body itself. If you have any questions call me at 800 7763288 Mon-Sat 11-7 PST.
Hope This Helps!!!
