What will they take?

I am swapping in a 383 stroker into my 85 T/A. I am expecting to get 450 - 500 horses out of it and 500+ ft-lbs. What is the T-5 rated for(what i have right now) and what is a 700r4 rated at. I have looked into putting a richmond in it but don't have $3,000 for the tranny right now(needed those last few horses has anybody out there done a swap this rad. Any suggestions? thanks for any help.

let me say this, My 700R4 chirped second gear with my semi suped up 305 for the 30,000 miles ive owned the car for.
Then I drop in a pretty built 355ci motor pushing about 375 horse power and blow my second gear in 18, yes thats right 18 miles. THe fluid was still pink and full, it just blew da f**k up.!!! im going for a th350 or 400 for my next tranny!!

My 350 HP ZZ4 does a bit more than chirp second gear, and has been doing it for quite a few miles. The 700R4 will take the power, but you need to beef it up...
