3.08 to 3.42 question...

Engine: 402ci LS2
Transmission: faceplated T56
Axle/Gears: 9" w/ 4.11's
3.08 to 3.42 question...
After I put the T56 in my T5 GTA it has sucked off the line fue to its 3.08's. I just put a 4th gen 3.42 disc rearend and wondered how much difference I'll notice... hopefully a lot. I haven't got the tranny back in and was wanting some input. TIA
