3.96 gears overkill?

3.96 gears overkill?

Are they too low for street driving? This is in my fast street car (RX-7), which might see some track time. Its going to have a T5 5 speed and a 350, either carbed or TPI. Probably sit on 225/70 R15 rear tires.

I would say that would be too much gear for those tires.
