3.70's in a 2 series carrier in a BW 9 bolt...this is a HOW TO

Simply take the ring gear to a reputable machine shop, have them make a 1/4 inch ring gear spacer. The ring gear bolts are oddball, left hand thread...strange size. You will need to find bolts that are 1/4in longer of course, I used some that were for a early to mid 60's olds rear. Mine has held up very well. Check the sig. If there are any questions, let me know.

interesting. how much did it cost you to get the spacer made? also, do you remember the size of the bolts, cause i just might do this and wanna find the bolts asap since my rear is going out right now.

I do not remember the size of the bolts, you would have to pull one out and go from there. It cost me about $60 to have the spacer made.
