1981 Firebird 4 speed tranny question.

What kind of tranny came in these cars? How do I ID this, and what's the good one I wish I had in this car but probably don't? The shift pattern is, Reverse/left up by first.
It's the Trans AM model car with 4 wheel disc and all power options if that makes any difference. Thanks.

Engine: Pontiac 400
Transmission: Muncie 4-speed
T-10 has that pattern, Saginaw would be next to second with a factory shifter. Usually.
