T-5 question
I know T-5's came in a few different vehicles,F-bodys,S-10s, mustangs. And to my current knowledge you can put a 4 cyl T-5 behind a v8 stang if you get the right pilot bushing (Modify it,and its not as strong) and I know the shifter is in a different place in an S-10.I have been told that a v6 T-5 will not work behind a v8 F-body, maybe because the input shaft is too short (and the strenght thing) Not really sure. But anyway. The other day I was wandering through a junk yard and happened to notice a Nissan 300ZX turbo car. I go over to check it out and see if the turbo is still there. Well. the engine is just sitting under the hood and the exhaust and tranny are not there. So I look in the car to see if anything is laying in there. Lo and behold there sets a T-5. I look it over and sure enough it has a Nissan bolt pattern on the bell housing! So I was wondering if anyone else knew this or had see it, If so is it the same as a GM vehicle(Obviously there will be some differances) Just kind curious on if it may be compatible with any other vehicle.

Re: T-5 question
different variations of the BW T5 were installed in many vehicles (most were unique to whatever application) and shared a similar case design

Re: T-5 question
if you go on wikipedia and search t5 there is a complete list of all cars that came factory with a t5, I had an 85 300zx and replaced a shift fork in the trans, and it wouldnt be worth the trouble to adapt it to an f body. Also the majority of s10s had the nv3500 or nv2500 (it may be mv, not sure) depending on the year and engine.
