Well my 85 firebird drove when we got it but we moved it a few days later and when pulling it up in the driveway to wash it something made a lound noise then it was gone, now it doesn't go forward it only has reverse

does anyone have any clue of what could have happened? any common problems with 85 V6 automatic transmissions?

 

have you looked under the car? did the gear selecter cable break off? its on the driverside.

 

I will have to see if I can get under there and look at it, but would you still be able to shift in to reverse?
