Re: which converter ?

The internal design of converters hasn't changed from when they were first invented. They all do the same job.

Typically you pay for what you get with converters. An inexpensive converter doesn't have the better internal goodies in it. My race converter was over $1000.

Buy a converter that matches the camshaft's powerband normally determined from the advertised duration. Stall speed also needs to be matched if it's a street/strip or full race use.

Re: which converter ?

lets say im going with a 2800 stall -is the vigilante built any better than the edge converter only reason im asking is because the edge is like 150 dollars cheaper ..i would rather go with the edge cuz of price but if the vigilante is that much better of a conveter (quality wise) then i just buck up and get a vigilante

Re: which converter ?

For a lower stall, inexpensive street type converter, $150 more is probably a better converter.

Will you notice a difference between the 2 of them? Probably not. Will you damage the cheaper converter? probably not.

The only way to know if one is built better than the other is to have them cut apart and look to see what's inside and how they're assembled.
