trans swap advise

hey guys have an 88 that came with a 305 doing a big block swap, i want to change to a 5 speed found a borg-Warner 5 speed out of an s -10 about the same year. will it fit and is it worth it.

NO and NO. if it is a T5 from an S-10, then it was attached to a 2.5 or 2.8, the 4.3s got a NV3500. None of these will survive a big block. Your only options are a T56 or a Tremec TKO500 or TKO600 or a Richmond Gear Super Street 5 speed.
