How much

when my car shifts it "slaps" into gear. it makes a clank sound. It really hard to explain but the thump can be felt through the arm rest. Any one know what this might be, how to fix it, and most inportantly how much money? Thanks A Lot, Bobby

Sounds like it could be your tranny mount, or your CV joint. I guess the only way to tell for sure is to get under there and take a look.

CV joint in a F-Body??? I'd like to see that. I'd say it's a tranny mount there known for breaking but there easy to replase(sp?) you might want to spring for a poly one- they don't break as easy.
