Anyone using Bow Tie Overdrive's EZ TV setup?

Does anyone have this setup? Dana from Probuilt told me about it a while back. Currently I am using the holley bracket and the part that changes the location of stud where the TV cable goes. I can't get it to shift like it did when I had the TBI on it.

Thanks for any input.

Jason

I have used it in the past and its the only way to go. Its not so much the bracket that holds the cable. The kit also comes with a bracket that helps the cable pull evenly. Best money I spent when I had a 700R4

Re: Anyone using Bow Tie Overdrive's EZ TV setup?

I ordered the EZ tv kit almost three weeks ago. It took about a week and a half to get it. They didn't send the TV cable, wrong instructions, wrong throttle bracket and the wrong bracket that goes on the carb. I called and they said they had a new guy assembling the kit. I asked for them to send me a completely new kit. They said I would have to pay for the kit and send mine back. They said they would send it priority mail and would have it in a few days.

A week later(today) I finally got the kit. No instructions, no hardware, wrong throttle bracket.

I am not happy at all. I am going to call again the in morning. I am getting my car back from the paint shop later today and want to get the trans lined out.

Re: Anyone using Bow Tie Overdrive's EZ TV setup?

I love it, I love it! After I got the all the right parts I got it together. The TV valve was stuck and it acted really strange. I talked to Steve and Bowtie Overdrives and he told me a trick to get the valve loose. Have someone put it in reverse and hold the brake, then unhook the TV cable and pull it all the way out and let it snap back. Do this 25-30 times. Reverse has the highest line pressure.

This did the trick. It shifts like it did with the factory TBI on it. I had tried the holley bracket and the adapter for the carb and it still didn't shift right.

I am very happy with it.
