Used to shift REALY hard, all of a sudden its really smooth. HELP!!

Ok, i re-adjusted my TV valve about a month ago, and then it made it shift alot harder then normal, and shifted at WOT at about 5000 RPMS. and i was happy with the for aboout a month since everyone said it was normal. But today, i was traveling on a two lane road, (4 lanes total) and i was in the left lane, and a car was in front of me turning so i stoped, well, as soon as it turned, i kinda got up to speed pretty quickly and there was two cars next to me, well the mustang decided he would cut me off while i was accelerating, and i slammed on the brakes, and he barley got through, so i floored it cause i was pissed and got up to about 40 and let of the gas. And everytime that i get about 4000 RPMS i always feel this slight vibration that i always thought was coming from the engine, and i felt it again today like always. but when i hit the next red light and starting going again, the car shifted at like 1500 RPMS instead of the usual 2500-3000. and was in 3rd gear by 20 MPH, and each shift was as smooth as ever, like a luxury car, nothing like these tranny's are supposed to. It was almost like the TV cable was disconnected, ( i had a chrysler labarron in which the TV cable came off and i drove it around like that for a few days.) if shifted really early, really smooth, u could hardly feel it, and even if i pushed more on the pedal it would still shift early, unless i had it pushed down about 3/4 or more, then it would shift later. So what would of caused this? did i break something? I have noticed the tranny fluid to be a little darker then normal, and it didn't smell like normal tranny fluid, but i don't knwo wut burnt tranny fluid smeels like. and the T.C. always acts funny, lockign and unlocking when decelerating in OD. and at some times remaining locked on the highway when letting off the pedal. So if anyone could help me i would be really happy. thank you.

oh ya, the tranny was rebuilt about a year and a half ago.

Recheck the position of the TV cable, did it come off the throttle, this has happened to me before.

thats the first thing i checked, pulled the car over, checked it, was still on there, pulled it to make sure it didn't break some further down the line, and it felt fine. i'll re-adjust it tomorrow to make sure.

HORRAY, I decided to go out and ACTUALY re-adjust the TV cable instead of just looking at it, and IT WORKS, somehow during my brief period of hard acceleration it became unadjusted. well, Im happy now, tranny is shifted firm just as before!
