I did a v8 conversion in my s10 and my newly rebuilt 700r4 trany shifts prematurly when you mat it and vicea versa. I'm told my gears are to tall and its the cuase of all my problems. what do you think? And stock gearing for 1990 gta with 5.0 4 spd automatic. thanks.

 

i'm not expert on the 700r4s but i'd check the TV cable adjustment. the gears shouldn't matter other than maybe engine rpm will be higher quicker or slower than it was at a given mph.
