T-5 Hydraulic Assembly

I am swapping a T-5 in place of my 700R4 and I need a new clutch master/slave assembly.

I had heard that the 4th gen T-5 clutch assembly is better to buy because it doesn't have a restrictor that is a problem with the 3rd gen version.

Anyone have some knowledge on this?

Thanks!

From what I understand, The 4th gen have the same restriction. It is easily removed though. I have a CHP with the whole how to somwhere around here. My problem is finding just the hydraulic line (somebody cut mine)

What does this restriction do?

I have been thinking about just getting an aftermarket one from Wagner, however, the aftermarket one has the master and slave as seperate part @'s. I don't know if the restriction is present there too...

So, what does this restriction do?

The only master/slave combo I've heard of that has a restriction is the LS1 version. Where did you hear about the LT1 version having a restriction?

I had to replace a section on mine and put in a compression fitting to repair the damaged section.

The only restriction that I have heard of is on the 5 speed models...not the six speed.

Not sure about how or how these restrictors were used or in what models...just what I heard of.
