I have a 87 Formula350 that will soon be sporting a new 355 with all forged components and a weiend 6-71 supercharger.And also a 125hp shot of nitrous oxide. The problem is that I don't know what do do about a transmission. I doubt my 700R4 can handle this, and I don't really want a TH350 cause I need to drive on the highway. The car has been stripped of all its electronics including the computer so I can't have an electronic transmission. Is there anyone that makes a 700R4 that can take the estimated 700 horsepower that this engine will produce. Or am I doomed to drive a three speed.

Is it a race car or a street car? What gears do you have? With that combination I would lean towards a th350 because it's cheap and strong and forget about the overdrive. With a more mild engine the 700r4. With 700 hp, your mileage is going to suck with or without overdrive.
