T-56, New 700R4, or 700R4 rebuild?

Im planning a 383 Super Ram....pushing 450-550 HP. Will be using a Ford 9" 3.50 rear end from Spohn. Im trying to decide what trans I should go for...here are the 3 choices that I have thought of:
1)A New BW T-56 from Spohn with the required torque arm and driveshaft
2)A New Upgraded 700R4 that will handle the power
3)Rebuild my current 700R4

This is a hard choice for me. First....I dont know how to drive stick (quit laughing). My dad has a stick however, so I can easily learn on that when I have time. Second....it will be a daily driver.....and I will mostly be drag racing (MAYBE some autocross) so I dont know if a 6 speed will be best for me. Also, I dont know of any good rebuilders in the area....so im kinda weary about the rebuild....I also want to keep the install as simple as possible...so I dont know how hard the T-56 install is. So does anyone have any input on what I should do? Thanks

I decided a T-56 would be WAY too much work considering all the work thats going into it already....specifically dropping the steering column to get to the pedals....cutting the firewall..installing the clutch pedal...and cutting a hole to fit the shifter......so now I gotta decide between a new auto tranny...or a rebuilt one.....any recommendations?

T56 with a good clutch is strong... but for racing you will have to knowhow to shift to make that 383 run good times.

I would throw the rebuild your current 700R4 out the window considering that Pro-Built can give you a built one (stage 3) to handle 600 or so HP for theprice ofa rebuild.

Decisions, decisions.
