TH700R4 from 86 Corvette

What is the difference between TH700 from 86 T/A and 86 Corvette? My TH700 needs rebuilt and I can get another from 86 vette for cheap.

Thanks in advange,

The case, tail housing and output shaft are different.

1) Will it be PITA to put it in the T/A?
2) Do I have to make some modifications?
3) Is the TH700 from the Vette stronger than from the T/A?
4)The owner of the Corvette transmission offers to give me a TCI shift kit if I buy the TH700. Should I use a shift kit?
5) Does the stock converter from the Corvette have another stall speed than from the T/A?

Thanks in advange,

Nonni

If I remember correctly, you won't have the mounting location for the tranny mount.

This would make a good core to source the internals from going into an up to'86 core such as yours. IT will have nice timing and some better parts inside. Skip the TCI but the converter if still good has a higher stall and might be nice.
