PA racing vs. spohn torque arm
So I had a spohn torque arm in my 88 IROC when it had a T5 in it. I decided to do a T56 swap and bought a PA racing torque arm. Well the front mount that they said would fit didn't and now they've sent me 2 different ones they stock and one they custom made and so far nothing but 2 and a half months of frustration. I sold the old spohn piece a while back and I'm wondering if the arms themselves are the same length and I can just order a spohn front mount like I should have in the first place.

Re: PA racing vs. spohn torque arm
Did you do a straight up LT1-T56 swap, or a retro-fit T56 swap? Why isn't the TA fitting correctly, length? Are you asking if you can use a PA torque-arm with a Spohn Xmem&mount? It's possible, but there are too many variables to say.

Re: PA racing vs. spohn torque arm
I did a regular T56 swap using parts from a 97 Z28 the problem with with the PA racing crossmember. It simply doesn't fit the car and transmission combo. They originally said they had a bolt in crossmember that would work. The first one they sent me wasn't even close nor was the second. Those were the ones they normally make. I talked with Jason and he had one of his guys custom fab one based on measurements I took from my transmission. On that one the cross bar doesn't drop low enough. This has been a 3 month process and i'm just frustrated beyond belief at this point. So what I'm wondering is if somebody could measure the length on a spohn arm and see if it is the same as a PA one. I've been told that PA used to make spohn's parts and based on me eyeballing what I used to have and have now they seem the same. I just don't want to put it together and have issues.
