I currently have a stock 3.23 posi rear end. Would swapping in a 3.73 from an L69 give me some SOTP excitement (some engine mods: cam, intake, dual snorkel, carb-tweeking, DR secondary metering rods, etc)?

I went from 2:73's to 3:73's, i definitely felt a difference. It has some MAJOR get-up-and-go off the line. I don't recomend them if you want great gas milage though. Highway use is fun, but not what i would call economical. If i were to do it again...which i probably will, i would go with 3:42's. I must say though, i can still get 16 mpg if i don't lay into it very often

I also went from 2.73 to 3.73 and the car took on a whole new personality. I wouldn't recommend it if you do any interstate driving and need to get up around 70-80mph. I have a set of 3.23s waiting to be installed when I can find time and someone who knows what they are doing.
