shift kit

well, i finally took my car to a trans shop(wouldn't shift out of second at WOT and i was at my wits end!) and they told me they were going to put a shift kit in for about $300 and that should do it. i told the guy if all my car needed was a shift kit that i would do it myself and save on the labor. so he said i could just buy the kit from him. my question is, are they easy enough to install that i could do it myself with basic tools and in a decent amount of time? by the way, its a TH700-R4. thanks..

The shift kit is a pretty strait forward job that can be done in a couple of hours with basic tools. I don't know what kind of shift kit the guy sales, but I would say go with a Trans-go shift kit. Its about the best in the buisness.
