VSS/TC lockup/Speedo
If the Speedo in my 92 RS is goin wacky (bouncing) i assume there is a problem with the VSS or buffer. BUT If it is reading funny and sending the wrong signal will that cause the TC to lock/unlock sporadicly?

A friend of mine had that bouncing speedo problem. It turned out to be his speedo gears were worn. Once those were replaced, everything is good.
Yes, if the computer is getting wrong info about the speed of the car, it will do weird things with the TCC.
