Why did all 350s get automatics ?
Why didnt GM have the option for a manual, didnt the 305's get a manual ? Secondly at a ballpark figure how much to swap a 5 speed into a 350 car ??? Im tired of getting stomped on my manual mustangs
basically because the 5-speed couldnt handle the power of the 350, it can just bairly handle the 305, you can swap in a manual, but would need to use an old unit like a muncie, borg-warner or even a saginaw.

If you can beat a auto mustang but not a manual why not just spend lots of less time/money and do some more engine mods? I'd love to have a 6-speed in my car but I don't think its worth the trouble plus its funny when stupid people go "auto camaro ...thats slow" then get beat.
last weekend we were going down the street then a 94 or newer mustang came flying up on us... (2 lanes) He had a exhaust i could hear it and he kept revving it... so i knew it was a 5 speed.... so we got hooked up at about 25 mph, we both stomped it and you could hear his $%!^ peaking out... now my 87 T/A 305 Auto carb, shouldnt have a chance.. we toook it up to about 90, i had his @$$ the whole time, it was great, then he was like "what's all in that" i said "Pure stock" so why wouldnt you be able to kick some Stang @$$?
