Just made my Hurst billet plus even better!!!

Well, when i installed my hurst billet shifter i loved everything about it, except that the shifter boot around it was too low, and was causeing the shifter to look rather tall. Not wanting to spend the 15 bucks on a new boot, i decided to bring the shifter down to IT. Since its a two piece handle, i was able to take the top portion off, drill a third hole above the top one, and reinstall it, this time using the top two bolt holes in place of the original bottom two. and bam, instantly my shifter is an inch shorter. I cant believe the difference it made. Not only does it now meet the boot almost perfectly, but it's got a lot shorter of a throw to it. This was hands down the best use of 5 minutes i've ever had!! just wanted to share my discoveries with everyone....

Someone did the same thing to my Hurst billet shifter before I got it. But they busted it off at the bottom bolt then re-drilled it. It's much better I agree. Now you just need to get the limited edition Hurst NASCAR 50th anniversary **** (mismarked in the stores computer at 0.97), then modify it to be internally lit when the headlights come on. Or maybe you don't need a handwarmer?

LOL!! maybe i'll just take my drill to every concealed portion of metal on the car. I could shave like 50 pounds off!
