lock up converter and new motor
When I installed my new motor,I ripped out all the sensors that had to do with the fuel injection which I didn't need(tps, iac, cts, etc),since I went from efi to carb. But I left the computer and everything else intact. My question is,is my converter still operable with the tps and other sensors gone? If not,can I still ground the lock up teminal on the diagnostics plug and lock the converter up myself when needed? Thanks for any input.

yah, it wont lock-up anymore.
did the same thing to my 89.
there is a link on how to lock it up with a switch in the tech archives section on this website.
basically, you just jump the 2 top outermost wires on the aldl computer port thing, and it will lock up in every gear but first, I did this to mine, and it is great.
