Help with my V6 T5 manual please!

Okay, when I start it up I push in the clutch. Then when I release the clutch and the car is in neutral I hear kind of a spinning sound. What is that? Then, I accel in 1st right up to the second gear shifting point, but don't shift, and I let off the gas, it jerks front to back when slowing down. It only does this is 1st and 2nd. Is it the mounts? What is it? Thanks. The car is a 1984 Firebird SE with carbed 2.8 and T5. Thanks.

sounds like the syncros are off or maybe the shifter isn't in right.

i think it's your tranny mount dude.
just go down and try to move the tranny with your hands (up and down), sure it takes a man to shake it but still doesn't take superman to do it, its a quick trouble shoot, or you can squeeze a prybar between the tranny and the crossmember and pry it and you'll see a crack bigger than...
Fernando.

Right. . . It's not the mounts. I checked. What else could it be? The car needs new shock and struts, could that be it? Would it have something to do with the rear diff. grease being too low? THanks.
