He stated that it was done to a Vette and doesnt know if it would work on others. Will it work on 3rd gen shifters

Engine: 355 (fastburn heads, LT4 HOT cam)
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 9-bolt, 3.27
My '84 shifter already is like that. It would be nice to have the notches reversed to stop for upshifts like a B&M ratchet shifter.

Actually, I had never known of a GM that wasn't already like that until now!

Yeah, the shifter gate on my '84 vette is already like that too. Strange....
