I just rebuilt my 350 and got it running. I put the car into drive and got nothing. Checked the tranny fluid, moved the shifter. still nothing. So I then checked to make sure that the Torque Converter was engaging the pump. Slip the tranny back and sure enough everything is lined up perfectly. So I Dropped the pan changed the filter and everything seemed ok. Cleaned everything very well, put in a new filter and gasket, filled up the pan, and still I have nothing. What am I missing? Is there a stuck valve or regulator? I am stumped on this one
Thanks for your help... I need it on this one!!

hey, did you check the vaccum modulator. It should have a vaccum line running from the back of the tranny up to the intake for vaccum a source.
I don't recall there ever being a vaccum line hooked to the transmission. What is the purpose of the vaccum line?
Thanks

No vacuum modulators on 700R4 tranny's.

Unfortunetly this is one of the downfalls of having automatic transmissions that are not well maintained. Im assuming this is a +100k mile car thats never had its fluid changed? A lot of times that old crappy fluid was the only thing holding these old unmaintained transmissions together. Sludge makes seals seal grit makes clutches and bands catch ect.
