posi rear diff

did any of the third gens come with a disc brake posi trac rear end
is so what years and models
i am wanting to change the drum brake rear in my 92 rs

Yes.

The 89-92 models are superior because of the axle splines and disc brakes. Check the following FAQ, which may provide some food for thought:

My 86 iroc-z28 came with disc brakes and posi, with 3.42:1 ratio, I believe its a rpo g92 or g80 something like that. My car was also an originally an auto so it has a deeper ratio than the sticks i think.
