Automatic transmission bushing removal
Is it worth buying a "bushing cutting chisel" that uses the cut & curl method? Is it worth the $28 that bulkpart.com charges for it. My gut instinct is not to get it because it won't work as easily as I would expect it to.
Normally I just use the die grinder and cut a groove parallel with the bushing and then chisel it out.

Which bushing are you replacing? If it's the one in the tail shaft I always just yank off the tail shaft and drive it out.

Re: Automatic transmission bushing removal
I am going to replace the entire set of bushings. I think it is worth just to do them all and start fresh for the rebuild.
