was driving the other night and pulling on the interstate and then when my car should had shifted to 3 gear the rpms just rose up and the car did not move. so i came to a stop and tryed to drive again. it shifted first gear fine alittle on the rough side but ok. and then when it should have switched to 2nd it would not its like the car was in neutral and im reving it the rpms clime put the car won't go. i had to drive the car home going 20mph in first gear. did my trans take a dump on me. the fluid is fine and was changed 4 months ago.

 

it took a dump time for a rebuild or a new one.

 

wait a min... that happened to me also i think i needed tranny fluid and it fixed it

 

doesnt take more tranny fluid to move the clutches in 1st gear or 2nd or 3rd. tranny is gone. prob valve body related... could be something clogging the valve body veins. happened to me and i lost 4th only... happened to be a metal shaving in the valve body.
