wot 3000rpms shifts?!?!?

i have a rebuilt tranny with around 5000 miles on it with a shift kit and when i punch it it revs up to 3000rpms then shifts any ideas? i have tried to adjust line pressure no difference... it shifts from first to second around 5-10 with just regular driving which is no good

any ideas?

is a 700r4

I'm no expert, just suggestions.
I assume this shifting problem is new and it shifted fine 5000 miles ago.
Check that your TV Cable is properly adjusted ( you said you checked line pressure ). Maybe it is hanging up inside the Cable Housing somehow? Unless you hooked a gauge up to it externally and checked line pressure while driving......

If you adjust the Cable to factory and feel it is not binding, pull the Governor and look for a broken Spring or Weight.
Sorry I don't have anymore ideas.

thanks for you ideas...

i adjusted to cable and same thing

it did kick a lot more when i first got it and i thought i had just got use to it but its not kicking nearly as hard now idk if thats normal or not

its your govenor, the weights need to be changed, mine did the same thing after i had it rebuilt and beefed up. Took it back and told them they forgot to switch the weights for the govenor.
