tko 600 install
i have a new tko 600 that i am putting in my 88 rs. i see that tko swaps aren't as common as t56 swaps. i have seen what some do, by so far i can't find info on what i want to do.
i am looking for a tubular transmission mount, anyone have an idea? part #?
i don't want to use the stock driveshaft, and would like to use an aluminum one. i would like proper clearance with the yolk and the output shaft so their is enough room for lateral movement. ls1 driveshaft? aftermarket?
i would like to use a scattershield, not a spacer plate for the stock bellhousing. will the lakewood tko one work alright? any other tko users have advise?
It looks like ill spend some time with a BFH such that the tranny is parallel with the ground, and not pointing slight down.
my plan for a motor are a really mean 400 (using dart little m block) or a 489-540bbc (either a mark VI gm block or a merlin III 4.5" bore block). both will be pump gas N/A, all forged, aluminum heads, and solid roller cam'd.
any tips would be great!

Re: tko 600 install
We sold alot of those in the past. When we did them we used the regular Lakewood scatershield. It has both the rotated and straight up pattern. Doing it this way the driveshaft will work if you choose to use it. We have the 31 spline yoke and you will need a conversion yoke. The torque arm with a little work can be made to fit as well. You are I'm sure using a one of the relocation kits anyway. Good luck with your project. Bob @ Hanlon motorsports
