so i just picked up this 83 camaro sport coupe 305 with a 700r4...got it in trade for a 99 crown vic p71 (fun car) with a slippin tranny.when i got the maro it had a broken flexplate and you had to wood it to get it to shift to 2nd...replaced the flexplate and tv cable and now you have to tach it out to get it to shift...if it feels like it.and the tq converter makes noise so im pickin up a tranny with a bad 3rd and fourth and a tq converter for free.
im going to swap the valve bodies and see if it makes any difference as i think the tv is bad. good idea or no? i have no experiance with GMs of this era as ive always had fox bodies or other fords. i am on a really tight budget as im only 17 with a little girl on the way so i have to make due with what i have. any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
